VAYORA · Wholesale Buyer Control
A collection becomes difficult to quote and replenish when shade names, product codes and pack revisions are mixed together. This guide helps private label brands create a controlled SKU hierarchy and decide which combinations belong in the first order.

Choose the Range Before Multiplying Combinations
As an illustration, 6 colors × 4 lengths × 3 systems creates 72 potential combinations. That arithmetic is a planning example, not a recommendation or a VAYORA sales claim. Add pack formats or texture choices and the matrix grows again.
Start with the systems and variants required by your channel. Classify core, supporting and trial SKUs for purchasing review; use actual demand and replenishment data to revisit those tiers. Avoid assigning equal quantities to every combination by default.
Build a Product-Code Hierarchy
| Dimension | What the record identifies | Control relationship |
|---|---|---|
| Family / construction | Tape-In, selected tip geometry or selected weft construction | One construction approval per product system |
| Length / texture | Nominal length with measurement method and texture master | Match the approved physical condition |
| Shade | Controlled master code and root / blend notes | A shared shade code still needs system-specific approval |
| Weight / count | Piece or strand basis, count and total pack specification | Finished pack configuration |
| Packaging revision | Artwork, barcode, insert and component versions | Label and packing verification |
Illustrative Coding Example
TI-18-1B-50 could identify a tape-in example with 18-inch nominal length, shade 1B and a 50 g nominal pack. This is an illustrative code only, not an existing VAYORA SKU. Its supporting record must explain each field and the approved measurement basis.
Keep a shade master ID separate from a finished product ID. A finished SKU points to construction, shade, texture, pack and artwork versions. A barcode identifies the assigned sellable item according to the buyer-approved coding system; do not invent barcode assignments from the internal product code.
Use One Matrix Across Quotation, Production and Reorder
| Matrix field | Procurement action |
|---|---|
| SKU and description | Match the same identifier on quote, PO, inspection and packing list |
| Planned quantity and priority | Allocate quantities by channel needs and replenishment role |
| Approval references | Link the golden sample, physical shade / texture master and dimension record |
| Pack and artwork | Record count, mass basis, packaging component and barcode |
| Version and status | Identify draft, approved, superseded or held revisions |
Freeze the approved matrix before bulk production. New shade, attachment, weight or packaging requirements create a documented revision. Decide whether the change requires a new sellable SKU, a linked version or additional sample approval using repeat-order change control.
Procurement Questions
How many SKUs should a new extension brand launch?
There is no fixed number. Choose the range your market, sampling budget and replenishment plan can support.
Should the same shade code apply across systems?
It can identify one shade family, but approve its appearance on each actual construction and retain those references.
Does every packaging revision require a new product code?
Record every revision. Whether a new SKU or barcode is required depends on the commercial change and buyer coding rules.
How can a distributor simplify a large assortment?
Separate core replenishment products from optional or trial variants and maintain one approved matrix.
Can VAYORA review a multi-SKU quotation brief?
Yes. Send the systems, lengths, shades, pack specifications, quantities and approval references for review.
Apply the Standard to Your Extension Program
Build these controls around your human hair extension program, the selected Tape-In, I-Tip / U-Tip / Flat-Tip or Weft construction. Coordinate the brief with private label collection planning and OEM / ODM manufacturing.
For project approval, consult VAYORA quality controls and sample and MOQ review. Commercial quantities, timing, test scope and acceptance limits are confirmed for your specification.
Plan Your Extension SKU Program
Send your extension systems, SKU matrix, approved references and the control questions your team needs to resolve. We will review the brief before confirming sampling, inspection and quotation requirements.
