Compare Confirmed Extension Specifications
These figures describe existing product references. A custom specification is a separately agreed sample and SKU record; it does not inherit a reference weight or pack count automatically. Confirm the selected construction, dimensions and packing against the approved sample and written order specification.
| Extension format | Published reference specification | Confirm with the sample |
|---|---|---|
| Tape-in extensions | Standard 2.5g per piece; 20 pieces and 50g per pack. Optional 2g or 3g piece weights are subject to confirmation. | Tape format and dimensions, piece weight, length, shades and packing. |
| I-tip, U-tip and flat-tip | Standard 1g per strand; optional 0.8g or 0.5g per strand, subject to confirmation. Pack count is agreed for the selected format. | Bond shape and size, strand weight, length, shades and strand count. |
| Machine, hand-tied and genius wefts | Standard category pack: 100g. Unfolded weft length is approximately 1.5–1.8m depending on construction. The hand-tied reference uses 30cm sections, six per 100g. | Track construction, unfolded width, hair length, weight and packing. |

Extension Options
Select the Construction That Fits Your Market
Different extension methods serve different salon services, wearing preferences and price positions. Available specifications and customization options depend on the selected construction and order quantity.
Compare attachment methods and sample checks →
For a complete sample brief, compare double drawn and full ends options, plan shade approval with the human hair color chart, and use the extension QC checklist to define method-specific tests.

Tape-In Extensions
A practical salon format for efficient installation and a flat, discreet result. Discuss tape width, base thickness, hair weight, color and replacement tape requirements.
Keratin Tip Extensions
I-Tip, U-Tip and flat-tip options can be planned for professional installation. Key specifications include bond shape, bond size, strand weight, length, texture and color assortment.
Nano & Micro Ring
Designed for strand-by-strand salon application without adhesive tape. Confirm ring compatibility, strand weight, attachment size and intended installation method.
Machine, Hand-Tied & Genius Weft
Machine Weft offers a stitched track for broader salon assortments. Hand-Tied Weft uses fine tied sections requiring construction-specific cutting instructions. Genius Weft supports low-profile salon positioning; approve edge thickness, permitted cutting, shedding control and distribution on the selected sample.
Clip-In & Ready-to-Wear Options
Suitable for customers seeking removable volume or length. Discuss piece count, clip placement, total weight, texture, color range and packaging presentation.

Plan Your Collection Around Salon Services
Tape-in service ranges
Begin with the salon’s attachment preference, core shades and replacement-tape plan. Keep piece count and total pack weight clear for each length.
Strand-by-strand programs
Select I-tip, U-tip, flat-tip or ring compatibility for the intended installation service. Approve the attachment size and strand weight before expanding shades.
Weft collections
Match construction, permitted cutting and pack configuration to the salon’s installation method. Compare an approved edge and weight distribution reference for repeat orders.
Start with a focused method, shade and length matrix using the extension SKU planning guide.
Manufacturing for B2B Programs
Hair Extension Manufacturing for Your Market
Review the hair extension manufacturing and quality-control process, then use the B2B manufacturing services hub to coordinate product development, private label packaging, sampling and repeat orders across wigs and hair extensions, then use this page to define extension-specific constructions and specifications.
VAYORA develops human hair extension programs around the needs of salon brands, distributors, wholesalers and purchasing teams. A manufacturing brief connects the hair specification, attachment construction, shade assortment and packaging to one approved production reference.
Product & Hair Specification
Define the hair grade by measurable requirements: cuticle direction where specified, processing history, end fullness, texture and wash performance. Grade names alone do not replace an approved sample.
Color Development
Plan natural black and brown, blonde, highlight, piano, ombre, balayage, rooted and multi-tone shades. Approve physical references and map the shade across Tape-In, Weft and Tip formats before assigning SKU codes.
Develop a shade system →Private Label Collection
Coordinate salon and retail assortments with cards, pouches, boxes, labels, barcodes and care inserts. Confirm the pack count and finished presentation together so the product and packaging describe the same SKU.
Build your private label range →Sample to Repeat Order
One Approved Reference for Bulk Production
Connect attachment dimensions, strand or pack weight, count, shade, texture and packaging to the current approved reference. Use the Repeat Order & Specification Control Hub to classify exact repeats, specification revisions and new extension SKUs.
Golden Sample
Review the benchmark and development samples side by side. Record accepted revisions, the shade reference, construction, dimensions, hair feel and packaging. Identify and retain the approved golden sample for the purchase order.
Sample approval guide →Bulk Specification & QC
Use a written SKU specification with agreed measurement methods and acceptance criteria. In-process checks cover attachment and shade; final checks cover length, weight, texture, construction, labels and packing. Any proposed deviation requires review before shipment.
Extension inspection guide →Repeat-Order Consistency
Reorders refer to the approved shade, hair specification, construction and packaging version. Compare current samples with retained references, especially for blonde tones, strand weight and weft distribution. Confirm any change in writing before manufacturing the repeat order.
Ready to start? Share your market, extension systems, target hair grade, lengths, weights, textures, physical shade references and estimated SKU quantities.
Request a QuoteMethod-Specific Sample Checks
Review tape-in sample quality, keratin bond sample quality and genius weft construction checks for the selected format. Confirm label and pack identity through the packaging and label QC guide.
For troubleshooting after salon feedback, use the salon complaint root-cause guide. Record the product, batch and observed issue before agreeing corrective action.
Before Starting Your Extension Project
Which extension methods can VAYORA review?
Current directions include tape-in, I-tip, U-tip, flat-tip, selected ring systems, machine weft, hand-tied weft and genius weft. Final availability depends on the requested specification and quantity.
What should be approved before bulk production?
Approve the attachment format, dimensions where relevant, weight, length, texture, shade direction, pack configuration and packaging. Use one written specification together with the approved sample or reference.
Can pack weight and strand weight be customized?
Yes, subject to the chosen construction and order plan. Custom weight should be written into both the sample record and bulk specification rather than assumed from a category standard.
How should I plan a first extension range?
Start with the salon method and core shades first, then add lengths and specialty colors. A narrow, testable assortment makes sample review and repeat-order control easier.

Project Specification Records & Evidence Stages
A three-line brief records a 100 g double machine weft direction with custom packaging and logo requests. A separate Canadian-buyer brief combines Feather Crochet and I-Tip directions with U.S. delivery instructions. These records establish procurement scope; they do not assert approved samples or completed delivery.
Review the category and packaging requirements or the cross-border extension brief.
| Stage | Record to review |
|---|---|
| Specification proof | Confirmed requirements and SKU/quantity table, with client information removed. |
| Sample / construction / colour approval | Project-linked sample, revision and approved-reference records when available. |
| QC / packaging / shipment | Inspection record, artwork approval, packing and shipping records when the corresponding event occurred. |
| Repeat order | A later purchase record and version comparison; not a forecast or intended expansion. |

Vietnamese Hair Procurement
For a Vietnamese-origin extension brief, use the Vietnamese Hair Wholesale Hub and Vietnamese hair extension specifications. Keep attachment system, shade, pack weight and strand count separate from origin and processing claims.
Advanced Weft Systems: Start With the Actual Construction
For brands, salon owners and distributors exploring advanced weft systems, separate the product name from its physical base and attachment method. Feather, Butterfly, PU Hole and Pre-Beaded are names to clarify in a sample inquiry; they do not establish a standard construction, confirmed availability or an approved VAYORA product specification.
| Requested direction | Construction question | Sampling decision |
|---|---|---|
| Feather Weft | Is the reference a continuous track, small units or a strand-based system? | Request front, reverse and edge views, unit count and the intended attachment. |
| Butterfly / PU Hole Weft | Does the actual base use a perforated PU strip? Do both names describe the same sample? | Compare base material, hole pattern and attachment instructions before assigning a separate SKU. |
| Pre-Beaded Weft / No-Sew | Are beads supplied already attached, separately, or added during salon installation? | Confirm hardware and the actual method; a no-sew label alone is not a product specification. |
Keep Existing Formats and New References Separate
Compare machine and hand-tied constructions on the existing weft page. For a focused fine-edge program, use the dedicated Genius Weft page. The ordinary category weights, unfolded widths and section counts above apply to their stated references; they do not define advanced-system samples.
OEM and Private Label Inquiry
Start with your market, benchmark construction, length and shade matrix, net hair weight basis and pack contents. Review feasibility and a physical sample before confirming a branded collection. Packaging, labels and care inserts must describe the approved attachment and SKU.
Advanced Weft Buyer Questions
Are advanced weft names standardized product specifications?
No. Define the base, track or unit format, hardware and professional attachment method on the actual sample. Similar names can describe different constructions, and different names can describe one construction.
Can an existing 100 g weft reference approve a Feather or Butterfly sample?
No. Confirm the selected sample’s weight basis, track or unit dimensions, count, attachment and packaging separately. Existing category reference figures do not transfer automatically.
