VAYORA · Wholesale Buyer Control
A correct extension under the wrong shade label or barcode is still a commercial failure. This guide helps private label buyers verify that the physical product, inner pack, master carton, packing list and purchase order identify the same approved SKU.

Approve the Artwork, Then Verify the Actual Packed Product
Artwork approval authorizes the printed version. Packing QC checks that the right version is applied to the right product. Keep the approved artwork, barcode mapping, pack configuration and current SKU matrix together. Do not use a generic packaging photo as proof that an order was checked.
Use the existing artwork and label approval workflow for pre-print approval and the custom packaging service for development options.
Inner-Pack Verification Checklist
| Check | Compare against | Record if different |
|---|---|---|
| Brand / product / system | Approved artwork and actual Tape-In, Tip or Weft construction | Wrong design, construction name or revision |
| Shade / length / quantity | Physical product, SKU master and agreed measurement basis | Shade substitution, length mix-up or ambiguous weight wording |
| Barcode / code / lot | Buyer-approved mapping and traceability instructions | Wrong assignment, unreadable scan or missing required reference |
| Insert / accessories | Approved contents and version | Wrong installation guidance, missing insert or unapproved substitution |
| Pack protection | Filled-pack sample and attachment protection requirements | Bent tabs, pressured bonds, tangling or damaged presentation |
Trace Each SKU From Product to Carton
Compare physical product → inner label → master carton → packing list → PO. For similar shades, use identifiable physical references and product codes, not memory alone. Verify that mixed cartons list their actual SKU distribution and that the carton map supports receiving and later complaint investigation.
Confirm carton quantities, markings, destination information, protection and sealing against the order instructions. The existing carton inspection guide explains shared packing controls; extension checks must also protect tabs, tips and weft structure.
Keep Artwork and Packing Revisions Linked
| Version field | Buyer control |
|---|---|
| Artwork revision / approval date | Identify approved file and component; retire superseded instructions |
| SKU applicability | List which shades, lengths and systems use the version |
| Barcode mapping | Buyer supplies or approves assignments and changes |
| Pack revision | Match actual contents to the finished pack specification |
| Finding / disposition | Record affected SKU and carton, correction and recheck before release |
Use the agreed inspection plan for coverage. Open identification or packing issues carry into the release record and packaging changes carry into repeat-order change control.
Procurement Questions
How can similar shades be kept separate?
Use controlled shade IDs, labeled work / pack references and product-to-label checks under the agreed plan.
Does every length need its own label?
The sellable SKU must be clearly identified. Approve the design and variable information for each variant.
How are barcode revisions controlled?
Keep the buyer-approved assignment, applicable SKU, artwork version and approval date in one record.
Can different systems share a packaging design?
They can share a visual design, but product identity, contents, protection and guidance must match each system.
What should buyers approve before printing?
Artwork, SKU applicability, labels, barcode mapping, insert copy, materials and the relevant filled-pack sample.
