Glueless Wig Sample Approval Checklist
Record material, handling, softness, ends and shedding observations under agreed conditions. Link each finding to sample ID and the written specification.

Hair: Material, Softness, Ends, Shedding
Record material, handling, softness, ends and shedding observations under agreed conditions. Link each finding to sample ID and the written specification.
Specification: Length, Weight, Density
Confirm measurement method, length, finished weight and density appearance separately. Agree any acceptance range for the project rather than applying a universal tolerance.
Lace: Type, Size, Color, Cutting
Review type, tone, ventilated area, usable parting and pre-cut edge where requested. A screenshot cannot establish the physical lace’s handling and condition.
Hairline: Plucking, Knots, Baby Hair
Record plucking graduation, temple pattern, knot appearance and baby hair where included. Keep front, side and top reference views.
Cap: Circumference, Band, Strap, Comb, Drawstring
Review circumference and relevant dimensions, band, strap, comb, optional drawstring, ear tabs and sewing. Test adjustment and fit under agreed conditions.
Appearance: Texture, Color, Styling
Compare texture and physical shade with retained masters. Record styling state, lighting and reference views used for approval.
Commercial: Packaging, Barcode, Label, SKU
Approve packaging protection, label, barcode, artwork and SKU mapping with the actual product. Product approval does not automatically approve packaging.
Final Decision: Approve / Revise / Reject
Use Approved, Approved with Revision, Revise & Resample or Rejected. Log requested changes and supplier response. Approval with revision requires written release conditions; unresolved changes must not become silent production instructions.

Approve the relevant hair, measurements, lace, hairline, cap, texture, shade, styling and commercial pack fields, and resolve any release conditions.
What is a golden sample?
It is the retained accepted physical sample linked to a written specification and approval version. It is the agreed comparison reference for production.
How should sample revisions be documented?
Use a revision log with sample ID, issue, requested change, supplier response, new-sample requirement and final decision. Preserve earlier versions.
What tolerances should be written into the specification?
Agree project-specific methods and ranges for the selected product. No universal tolerance is prescribed.
Should packaging also be approved with the wig sample?
Yes, confirm product protection, label, barcode, artwork and SKU mapping alongside the wig, or record a separate packaging approval condition.
