Manufacturing Capability & OEM Workflow

Tape-In Hair Extensions

Review tape dimensions, adhesive coverage, hair weight and the sample handling method. Lock the attachment and color requirements with the approved SKU.

Genius Weft

Develop the edge profile, pack weight and hair specification against a retained sample. Confirm cut and handling expectations before production.

Machine Weft

Define track arrangement, unfolded width, hair length and pack weight. Confirm construction, texture and shade references together.

Hand-Tied Weft

Record workmanship, section width, section count and pack weight. Keep seam handling requirements with the approved product brief.

Keratin Bond Extensions

Confirm bond geometry, hair capture, formulation requirements and strand weight. Review the proposed application behavior during sampling.

I-Tip / U-Tip / Flat-Tip Extensions

Approve tip format, dimensions, strand weight and packing count. Coordinate shades with the other systems in the collection.

Nano / Micro Ring Systems

Review ring compatibility, tip size, strand weight and the intended professional application method. Confirm the actual attachment sample, shade and packing before manufacturing.

Custom color and texture programs

Develop physical color and texture standards, including placement and viewing conditions. Review processed hair condition alongside appearance.

Private label packaging and multi-SKU management

Manage the range through current specifications, a SKU matrix and packing records. Confirm artwork, quantities and carton allocation before shipment.

From Product Concept to an Approved Manufacturing Standard

For OEM projects, start with your defined product and brand specification. For ODM development, share the market, service needs and benchmark direction so product options can be reviewed and refined. Both routes need an approved sample and written production standard.

  1. Product concept: define buyer channel, target quality position, extension systems and starting assortment.
  2. Benchmark sample review: compare desired construction, hair appearance, shade and packing with a physical reference.
  3. Specification review: record hair grade requirements, processing history, length, texture, weight, count, attachment dimensions and colors.
  4. Sample development: prepare samples for the selected constructions and shade families, including packaging where required.
  5. Revision: record the requested changes, their effect on the product and the revised sample version.
  6. Golden sample approval: accept the finished reference, master color ring, SKU sheet, artwork and measurement methods.
  7. Bulk manufacturing: manufacture against the current accepted specification and confirm production timing from the final quantities and requirements.
  8. In-process QC: review attachment construction, hair distribution and shade during relevant production steps.
  9. Final QC: compare finished length, weight, texture, color, tips or tracks and packing with agreed acceptance criteria.
  10. Packaging: check SKU labels, shade codes, counts, barcodes, inserts and artwork version; confirm carton allocation.
  11. Shipping: confirm delivery country, packing records and shipping arrangement after the order and dispatch requirements are clear.
  12. Repeat-order control: reuse retained golden samples, physical color references and the current specifications; approve changes before the next production run.

Control the Approval Points Across a Multi-SKU Order

One Brief, Separate Construction Standards

A mixed program can coordinate shades and branding across Tape-In, Weft, Tip and ring systems. Each construction still has its own dimension, attachment, weight and handling requirements. Approval of one system does not approve the others.

Written Acceptance Criteria

Agree on how length, pack or strand weight, weft width, shade and workmanship are compared. Record inspection points for shedding, attachment integrity and packaging. Numerical tolerances and test conditions are set for the actual project.

Version & Deviation Review

Keep sample identifiers, shade ring versions, specification dates and artwork revisions together. Review proposed substitutions or deviations with the buyer before applying them to bulk production or shipment.

Replenishment Reference

Confirm the reorder SKU matrix against the latest approved sample and pack. Compare new production with retained references, with particular attention to blonde tone, attachment geometry, weight and texture consistency.

OEM Workflow

RFQ → Specification Review → Benchmark / Sample Review → Sample Development → Revision → Golden Sample Approval → Bulk Production → In-Process QC → Final QC → Packaging → Shipping → Repeat Order Reference.

Buyer-Controlled Specifications

  • Hair grade
  • Texture
  • Length
  • Weight / strand count
  • Attachment construction
  • Color code
  • Packaging
  • Acceptance criteria

Why This Matters

An approved product needs a clear specification that can be compared across bulk manufacturing and future replenishment orders. Golden samples, current SKU sheets, physical shade references and agreed inspection methods connect development to repeat production.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you develop from a competitor sample?

A competitor or retail benchmark can be used to discuss desired features. Define your own product requirements and approve the proposed sample and specification before bulk production.

Can you support multiple extension systems in one program?

Multi-system programs can cover tape-in, wefts and bonded or tip extensions. Keep construction-specific approvals and coordinated color, packing and SKU records.

How do you manage specification changes?

Record the requested change, review its effect on the product and revise the sample or written specification as needed. Obtain approval before applying the revised version to production.

How are repeat orders controlled against the approved standard?

Use the golden sample, current written specification, shade references and agreed acceptance criteria for comparison. Review hair, attachment, dimensions, packing and any approved changes before release.

Discuss Your Hair Extension OEM Project

Send the attachment format, hair specification, lengths, colors, weights or strand counts, estimated quantities and packaging brief. Sampling, quotation and timing are confirmed for the approved requirements.

Project Specification Records & Evidence Stages

A three-line brief records a 100 g double machine weft direction with custom packaging and logo requests. A separate Canadian-buyer brief combines Feather Crochet and I-Tip directions with U.S. delivery instructions. These records establish procurement scope; they do not assert approved samples or completed delivery.

Advanced Weft OEM: Confirm Feasibility Before Collection Approval

Advanced weft development starts with a construction brief and a verifiable benchmark. Feather, Butterfly, PU Hole and Pre-Beaded references require project-specific product review before availability or manufacturing feasibility is confirmed. A market name or competitor photograph alone does not approve a manufacturing route.

Construction-Specific Customization Questions

For a perforated-base direction, define the requested base material, hole geometry and track dimensions. For a pre-beaded direction, specify the underlying weft and bead count, dimensions, material and lining where present. For a Feather reference, clarify whether the unit is a strand, linked section or continuous track. Confirm available options on the proposed sample; do not infer them from an unrelated category.

Golden Sample and Change Control

Keep the construction ID with the approved physical sample, color reference, pack specification and artwork revision. Record any proposed substitution of base or hardware as a specification change. Buyer review and agreed disposition should precede bulk release or repeat-order approval.

Advanced Weft Buyer Questions

What evidence is needed to review an advanced weft OEM project?

Provide an identifiable construction reference, clear front/reverse/edge views or a physical sample, the attachment method, dimensions, hair-weight basis, pack contents and target SKU plan. Feasibility and available options are confirmed after review.

Can approval of a standard weft cover new hardware or a perforated base?

No. A changed base, hole pattern or bead assembly needs its own sample and written specification review. Retain the accepted construction and packaging revisions for future orders.
